Nancy Lou (Stevens) Osborne, 67, Green Bay, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 3, 1945 in Bowler, WI, a daughter of the late Sheldon and Samanthia (Metoxen) Stevens. She is married to Ruie Osborne.
Nancy loved teaching and working with Oneida children. She earned a degree in Communication and the Arts from UW-Green Bay. As Nancy began her career teaching third grade at Oneida Elementary School she earned her Master's Degree in Communication Instruction. She loved this job and finally retired in 2011 after 35 years. Her children, as she called them, were her life, enjoyment, and delight. Nancy enjoyed traveling and playing bingo, she was also an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Nancy is survived by her husband Ruie Osborne, son Robert (Michelle) Gauthier; grandchildren: Justine, Tyler, Mason and Sam; and the love of her life, great grandchild Grace. She is further survived by her brothers Simon (Bernice) Stevens and Joseph (Shirley) Stevens; sisters Essie Mae Stevens and Patricia (Harlan) King, Karla (Robert) Sunn; and her brother James Hebb.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father Sheldon Stevens; her mother Samanthia (Metoxen) Stevens Farmer; brothers Fredrick, Edward, and Dexter Stevens; and sisters Shirley Jean Osborne and Debra Freeman.
Friends and family may visit on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Oneida Singers at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.
