Nasir X Orosco, 22 of Oneida WI, passed away unexpectedly on June 7, 2026. He was born on August 3, 2003, to Carla and Robert Castillo in Green Bay. He graduated from Seymour High School in 2022.
Nas was an all-sport athlete, he enjoyed soccer, wrestling, lacrosse, track, as well as body building. To his teammates and coaches, he was a talented athlete whose dedication and heart were evident every time he competed. Whether on the field, in the classroom, among friends, or at home with family, Nasir carried himself with a spirit that was both humble and inspiring. He was very intelligent and was a member of the Information Technology Academy all throughout high school. He could learn anything he needed from YouTube, even teaching himself to tie his own lacrosse net. He was a great bass fisherman as well. Nas was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who was struggling and was always there for people to lean on him. He had a gift for bringing people together and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Nas was the best big brother and loved spending time with his family and taking care of his siblings. To his parents and grandparents, he was a source of immeasurable pride and joy. Nasir's life, though far too short, was filled with love, laughter, curiosity, determination, and kindness. He was never afraid to talk to people and had the most contagious smile. He was very confident but still had a goofy side to his personality. He always dressed to impress and was never afraid to try something new. He was a good cook when he wanted to be, and you were very lucky if he made you something to eat.
Nas is survived by his parents, Robert and Carla Castillo, Nailah, Naat’aanii, Rhea, Mya, and Alonzo. He is further survived by his aunts and uncles Sarah, Jordan, Nathaniel, Dakota (Peter), Gonzalo (Melissa), Jennifer (Lenny), Wes (Erin), John, Ron, grandparents Kurt and Katherine, Wanita, and Linda. He is further survived by his girlfriend Vina, as well as many cousins.
Nas was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Elwood and Jean, Eugene and Anette, and Rhea.
The Sacred Fire for Nas is being held from 10:00am to 11:00pm daily from Tuesday, June 9 to Thursday, June 11 at N6765 VanBoxtel Road, Oneida WI 54155.
Family and friends may come to call for visitation on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, N6135 Seminary Road, De Pere, WI. A short prayer service will be held following visitation at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue at church Friday, June 12 from 11:00am to 2:00pm. A funeral service will begin at 2:00pm.
While words cannot fully express the depth of this loss, the love surrounding Nasir remains immeasurable. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched, the lessons he taught through his example, and the enduring love of those who carry him in their hearts. We are grateful for the prayers, love, support, and kindness shown to our family during this incredibly difficult time.
