Norbert E. Urban, 77, of Ashwaubenon, passed away Sunday August 24, 2008, following a long illness. The son of the late Jerry and Mary (Paska) Urban was born February 20, 1931 in Kewaunee. He enjoyed his boyhood growing up in Kewaunee. Norb served during the Korean War in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Sergeant, and served from 1951 to 1954. On June 22, 1957, he married the former Helen Quatsoe at St. Francis Church in De Pere, and she preceded him in death on September 8, 2003. He had worked for various financial institutions for many years. He was an active volunteer in our community, having served in food pantrys and taught English as a Second Language. Mr. Urban was a member of the Norbertine Associates at St. Norbert Abbey. Survivors include his three sons, John (Kris) Urban , Clive, Iowa, Michael Urban, Kaukauna, Mark (Shauna) Urban, California, two daughters, Anne Stenslien, Onalaska, and Sarah (Eric) Johanski, Green Bay, four grandchildren, Brandon, Andrew, Max, and Justin, one brother, Leonard (Sue) Urban, West Palm Beach, Fl. Norb was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen, and one son. Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday August 26, 2008 (today). Visitation will continue after 9:00 am Wednesday at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Green Bay until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday at the church with Father Richard Getchel, officiating. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
