Olive M. Collins, 84, De Pere, died Monday morning September 20, 2010. She was born March 11, 1926 a daughter of the late Stanley and Ludmilla (Rott) Novy. On September 14, 1947 she married Ed Oliver Collins. He preceded her in death.
Olive was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Green Bay. She sang in the church choir, was active in the Ecumenical Partnership for Housing, and was a tutor for the Literacy Council.
Olive is survived by her daughter Lorena (David) Ver Boort, Green Bay; four grandchildren: Garrett (Amy) Anderson, Tracy (Rich) Peters, David Ver Boort, and Dan Ver Boort; three great grandchildren: Israel Anderson, Zach Anderson, and Christopher Peters. She is further survived by her sisters Josephine Pacl, and Karen (Ron) Greene; brother S. Dean Novy; sisters-in-law Pat (Bob) Riddle and Rachael Novy; cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed, parents, brother Martin Novy, sister Irene (Stan) Brown, and sister-in-law Irma (Andrew) Coblentz.
Visitation for Olive will be Saturday, September 25, 2010 at St. Paul's United Methodist from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral service will follow at church at 11:00 AM.
