Orville H. Vande Hey, 86, Rockland, passed away on Wednesday morning Sept 17, 2014 with his family at his side. He was born July 7, 1928 to the late Henry and Petronella Vande Hey. On January 27, 1949 he married Patricia Lenss at St. Francis Catholic Church in De Pere. Orville ran Orville Vande Hey Mobil Feed Service for many years, and served many of the area farms for many years. He enjoyed farming himself. He was a loving husband and father, who beside raising 12 of his own children, helped raise over 20 foster children.
He is survived by his children, Richard Vande Hey, Fred (Cathy) Vande Hey, Marvin (Special friend Kim Fox) Vande Hey, Orville (Paula) Vande Hey Jr., Kevin (Amy) Vande Hey, Keith (Beth) Vande Hey, William Vande Hey, Carolyn (Ray) VandeVoort, Joyce (Jim) Petri, Alice (Wayne) Aschenbrenner, Karen (David) Verhagen, Lois (Mike) Hauner, as well as 37 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, two siblings, Virgil (Sandra) Vande Hey, Mary Sprangers and numerous nieces and nephews.
Orville was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia, one grandson, one daughter in law Geri, as well as 14 siblings.
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street in DE Pere after 2pm Sunday September 21, 2014. A prayer service for Orville will be held at 6pm.
