IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Oscar Sidney "Sonny"
Schuyler
January 24, 1937 – March 16, 2023
Oscar S. "Sonny" Schuyler, 86, Oneida, passed away Thursday morning, March 16, 2023. He was born January, 24, 1937 in Milwaukee to the late Oscar and Serina (Summers) Schuyler.
Sonny proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1956 – 1965 being stationed in France and Japan.
An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching them all, especially the Little League World Series. Sonny graduated from N.W.T.C. at the age of 54. He was employed at Brauman Paper Company in Green Bay, and retired from WPS, he then went on to work security for the Oneida Nation. Sonny's greatest accomplishment was his family, and he was a wonderful dad and grandpa.
He is survived by his children; Rita (Warren) Reiter, David (Chewy) Schuyler, Rebecca (Jimmy Cantu) Schuyler, Oscar (DeAnna) Schuyler, Teresa (Jon) Kaquatosh, Todd Schuyler, and special nephew Scott (Lenee) Schuyler.
As Sonny would say, he is further survived by a shit ton grandchildren and two shit tons of great grandchildren. His two brothers, William Schuyler Sr., and Gary Schuyler Sr., also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Robert Schuyler Sr., two nephews; Gary Schuyler Jr., and Damien Johnston, as well as the love of his life Telka Schuyler.
Friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00PM Wednesday, March 22nd, with the Oneida Hymn Singers singing at 7:30PM to bring the evening to a close at 8:00PM. Visitation will continue from 9:00AM – 10:15AM on Thursday at Church of the Holy Apostles, Oneida, until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM with Fr. James Biegler officiating.
Dad, Grandpa, we will always remember your great sense of humor and wonderful smile.
Special thanks to the staff of St. Vincent 6th floor I.C.U., and Doctor's Maymoona Attiyat and Michael Flood, for the care and compassion shown to our Dad and family.
