IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Pamela J.
Mathewson
May 24, 1962 – July 26, 2025
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Pamela Jane Mathewson, 63, of West De Pere, who left this world in the early hours of Saturday, July 26, 2025. After a long and courageous battle, Pam shed her broken and weary body, and holding the hands of God's angels, was welcomed into Heaven—free of sickness, free of pain. She now rests in peace, reunited with her beloved parents, Randall and June Smits, and her sisters, Susan Foehse and Holly Bear.
Born on May 24, 1962, Pam lived a life rooted in love, compassion, and strength. She was married to her soulmate and best friend, Scott Mathewson, for 44 beautiful years. Together, they built a life centered on family, laughter, and enduring love. Pam was a devoted mother to their three sons, Adam, Devin, and Parker, who were the absolute light of her life.
In the 1980s, Pam worked at Smits Typo Graphics before stepping away to become a full-time mom after adopting their first child—a role she embraced with unmatched devotion. Pam's true joy came from caring for her family, and she poured her heart into every moment. In recent years, she became a grandmother, a title she cherished dearly. Her joy was never brighter than when she was with her grandchild—she was truly the happiest grandma anyone could imagine.
Pam is survived by her husband, Scott, and their three sons, Adam, Devin, and Parker. She also leaves behind nine siblings. To all who knew her, Pam was a shining example of courage, grace, and unconditional love. She was a devoted wife, a fiercely loving mother, a proud grandmother, a loyal sister, and a cherished friend. But above all, she was a brave, selfless, and kind woman whose legacy of love will continue to live on in all of us.
As her sister-in-law Mary so beautifully said, "Forget the in-law stuff—she was my sister."
Family and friends may call to Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere, WI 54115, beginning at 4:00 pm with a service celebrating Pam's life at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
Pam will be missed beyond measure, remembered with deep love, and honored forever.
