Patricia A. Baeten was called to eternal life on March 24, 2024. She was born on December 31, 1932 to the late George and Amelia Alger. Pat was a graduate of St. Joseph Academy in 1951, Outagamie Teacher's College in 1954 and attended summer school classes at St. Norbert College and UW-Oshkosh until their children arrived. She married Paul H. Baeten in 1959 and they were proud parents of Joseph and Jane.
Pat taught in rural elementary schools and in Wrightstown for 12 years. She was also a very active member of St. Joseph's and Our Lady of Lourdes in De Pere.
She volunteered in her church's religious education department, where she taught, and was also a Communion Distributor. She also volunteered in her community at Rennes Health Center, Paul's Pantry, Brown County Literacy Council, and Mobile Meals.
She cherished her time spent with her children Joe and Jane, as well as her grandchildren. She loved her trips with Paul, as well as playing golf, bridge, reading, folk art painting, and flower gardening.
Pat is survived by her beloved husband Paul, her dear children Joseph (Annette) Baeten, Jane Yells, her grandchildren, Chase, Reid, Jenny (Eric), and Brandon, great grandchildren, Micheal, Maddy, Mason, Maxwell, Matthew, Molly, Ava, and Mila. She is further survived by her sister, Ginny Leidel, as well as her sisters-in-law Eileen Baeten and Jean Shaughnessy, and brother-in-law, Allen Baeten, several nieces and nephews as well as some dear friends in her bridge group and some members of the birthday club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Ruth Stockman, her brothers-in-law, Cyril, Mark, Bede and Tom Baeten, Patrick Shaughnessy, and Dave Leidel; sisters-in-law, Betty, Ev, Carol, and Janice Baeten, her nephew, Mark Baeten, and her niece, Teri Leidel.
Friends may call on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, from 9:00AM – 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 305 Lourdes Ave, De Pere, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM with Fr. Jim Baraniak O.Praem officiating.
