Patricia M. Benson, 71, of Oneida, passed away Wednesday night, November 13, 2013 at a local hospital. She was born July 13, 1942 in Seymour, WI a daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Powless) Jourdan. On May 25, 1972 she married Gordon J. Benson at Holy Apostle Church, Oneida. He preceded her in death on January 10, 1990. Patricia worked for the Oneida Tribe as an administrative assistant for many years. She loved doing traditional beadwork, sewing, and doll making. She had a great big heart and loved her time she spent with her family and especially her grandchildren. Patricia is survived by her children: Charles (Cassie Thomas) Belisle, Jeffrey (LeAnn Thompson) Belisle, Lisa (Tom) Calaway, and Jennifer Benson; 15 grandchildren: Keshia, William, Cody, Charles, Ava, Keegun, Liz, Rhea, Ashley, Teresa, Chelsea, Giovanni, Sydney, Chloe, and Emma; five great grandchildren; and her significant other Dixon Skenandore. She is further survived by her siblings: Barb (Jim) McKenzie, Yvonne Jourdan, Judy Jourdan, Henrietta (Tom) Daly, Diane Jourdan, and Hank Jourdan; her sisters-in-law Diane DeMarre, Jan Jourdan, and Joan Jourdan; brother-in-law Dean Tubby; and her many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Gordon; and siblings: Mildred (Frank) Figueroa, Ron Jourdan, Ken, Jourdan, and Virgil Jourdan. Family and friends may visit on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere. Oneida Hymn Singers at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral procession leaves for church at 10:10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Apostle Episcopal Church, 2937 Freedom Rd, Oneida with an Episcopal priest officiating.
