Patricia L. Vanden Avond, 89, Reedsville, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2015. The daughter of Ralph and Mary (Martell) Winnekin was born June 4, 1926 in Green Bay. She married Bernard "Ben" Vanden Avond on November 27, 1947 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Green Bay. They raised five children together.
Pat worked as an executive assistant at Brillion Iron Works for over two decades. She loved to play cards, especially with her bridge club, and crochet blankets for her family and friends. She treasured her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and supported them in everything they were involved in.
Pat is survived by her five children; Mike Vanden Avond, Reedsville, Barb (Howie) Pritzl, Reedsville, Keith (Lisa) Vanden Avond, De Pere, Mary Kay (Jake) Maertz, Reedsville and Sue (Don) Haese, Reedsville; as well as twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her sisters, Faye (Ralph) Klasen, Phyllis Van Lieshout, sister-in-law Joanne Winnekins, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mary, husband Ben, siblings John Winnekin, Bill Winnekins and Mary "Tootie" (Arnie) Servotte, as well as brother-in-law Jim Van Lieshout. She was further preceded by her infant son, Paul, and daughter-in-law Brenda (Behnke) Vanden Avond.
Family and friends may call at Holy Family Parish, 1100 W Ryan St., Brillion, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. There will be a short prayer service at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue at 9:00am at church on Wednesday morning. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am with Fr. Timothy Brandt officiating.
