Click Here to view the service for Paul Baeten. Paul Baeten, 52, of De Pere, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon July 14, 2012 in Menominee County. He was doing what he loved best, being outdoors with friends and family and enjoying a beautiful summer day. The son of Harold and Mary Ann (Geurts) Baeten was born December 29, 1959, in Green Bay, WI. He was a graduate of West De Pere High School in 1978 and St. Norbert College. Paul was a lifelong De Pere resident. On February 18, 2002 he married Elizabeth "Betse" Macco in Green Bay, WI. Paul lived life with zest and love. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and soccer. But most of all, he loved his family and friends. He was an extraordinarily thoughtful and caring husband, father, son, uncle, and brother. Paul recently returned to school at St. Norbert College to attain a degree in accounting. His business interests were wide-ranging, from computer technology consultant to entrepreneur. Paul is survived by Harold and Mary Ann (Geurts) Baeten (Parents), Betse Macco (Wife), Andrea Baeten (Daughter), Kevin Wright (Stepson), Elizabeth Wright (Stepdaughter), Siblings: Betsy Baeten, Peter Baeten, Ann (Baeten) Vande Hei, Mark Baeten, Tom Baeten, Bill Baeten, Mary (Baeten) Ellison and Jason Baeten. He is further survived by his in-laws: Larry Cahoone, MA, Wendy Schacher, Oxford, David Vande Hei, De Pere, Fiona Baeten, Australia, MJ Lemire, CA, Anne Baeten, De Pere, Eric Ellison, CA, and Peter Orth, CA. Friends and family may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Family Prayer Service at 3:45 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Old St. Joe's Catholic Church on St. Norbert College Campus from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. at church. Burial will follow Mass in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, De Pere. Please visit www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the Baeten family. He will be deeply missed by everyone with whom he came in contact. His warm character and wide-open smile welcomed the world, and it is a smaller and sadder place without him.
