Paul H. Stibbe, 79, of De Pere, passed away Thursday evening, January 4, 2018 with family by his side. He was born July 26, 1938 in Peshtigo, Wisconsin to the late Ervin and Anna (Kopplin) Stibbe. He graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1956 and then furthered his education at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, obtaining a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1961. On September 3, 1960, Paul was united in marriage with his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Genevieve Turza, in Peshtigo. He put his degree to work by first designing tractors, then spent most of his career working at Tec Systems and ASI, and ended his career with Thermo Electron. Paul was an avid Badger fan, gun enthusiast, and history buff. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, going to the gun range with friends, and building model airplanes. He also loved to travel and go camping with his family. Paul is survived by his wife, Genevieve, their four children Sue (Tony) Marold, David Stibbe, Mary (Bill) Johnson, and Paula Stibbe, and their seven grandchildren Lindsay Marold, Tony Marold, Lauren Marold, Brandon Stibbe, Cole Stibbe, Paul Johnson, and Anna Johnson. He is further survived by his brother Karl (Pat) Stibbe and sister-in-law Anna Lavallee. Paul is preceded in death by his parents Ervin and Anna Stibbe, father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Mary (Drong) Turza, brother-in-law Edward Turza, and brother-in-law John Turza Jr. Family and friends may visit from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 2066 Lawrence Drive, De Pere, Wisconsin 54115. The service will follow at 3:00 PM at the church, with Rev. Dr. John Parlow officiating. Paul will be laid to rest in Peshtigo Riverside Cemetery in late spring.
