Pearl Nelson, 91, of Green Bay, passed away on Tuesday morning December 28, 2010 at a Green Bay hospital. The daughter of the late Peter and Hilma (Sedergren) Johnson was born January 10, 1919 in Rush City, Minnesota. She married Ernest Nelson on February 28, 1942 in St. Paul, MN. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1987. Pearl had resided in Colorado since 1946. She moved to Wisconsin in 2003. Pearl was a devoted active member of Messiah Lutheran Church of Denver and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Joyce (Thomas) Tucker, Jr., Green Bay, granddaughter, Lisa Tucker, brother, Don (Rose) Johnson, and a daughter-in-law, Debe Nelson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert F. Nelson. Friends may call at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2911 Libal Street, Allouez, WI from 9:00 to 11:00 am Friday, December 31, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday at the church with Pastor Lori Swenson, officiating. Burial will be held at Fort Logan Veterans Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
