Peter H. Charles, 68, Oneida, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at a local hospital. He was born June 2, 1941 in Green Bay, a son of the late Julius and Verna (Moore) Charles. Peter was a sports fan, especially football and baseball. He enjoyed following the Packers and the Brewers. Peter also enjoyed his time with any and all family get togethers. Peter is survived by his siblings: Florine Dessart, Arthur "Art" (Leona) Charles, Catherine "Cat" Hill, and Virginia "Ginny" Thomas; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. He is further survived by cousin Paul Denny, friends Sandy Elm and Patsy Elm, and many cousins and friends. Peter was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Gordon and David, great nephew Bruce Funmaker, Grandma Minnie Moore, maternal grandfather, and his paternal grandparents. Visitation for Peter will be held on Friday, October 9, 2009 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere, from 5:00 to 8:00PM with Oneida Singers at 6:30 PM and a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until procession to church. A Celebration of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday October 10, 2009 at Holy Apostles Episcopal Church, Freedom Rd, Oneida at 10:30 AM with Rev Kristina Henning officiating and Deacons Edmund Powless and Debbie Heckel concelebrating.
