Peter Victor Sturdivant 65 passed away on August 22nd in Dutch Harbor Alaska from natural causes. Peter was born July 18th 1948 in Green Bay Wisconsin to Cleo and Carl Sturdivant. Peter grew up in DePere and graduated from St Francis Grade School, Abbot Pennings High School and St Norbert College. Peter was an adventurist who followed his dreams and had several careers which led him to different parts of the world. Peter lived in several cities in California, Texas, Panama and many years in the Chicago area before he ventured to Alaska. Peter worked as a computer programmer, heavy construction project manager and as the manager of properties for a development company in Alaska. Peter made friends easily and could carry on a conversation on almost any subject. Peter loved to cook and enjoyed experimenting with the local ethnic recipes wherever he lived. Peter is survived by his brother Michael (Diane) Sturdivant, niece Stacie (Randy) Bailey, nephews Craig (Holly) Sturdivant, Kipp (Lynsi) Sturdivant, Nic (Jillaine) Sturdivant all of Green Bay and 11 great nieces and nephews and his special friends Jim Ronk and family. Peter was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Cleo. A Memorial mass will be held September 13th 11:00 A.M. at St Francis Church 220 S. Michigan St De Pere with the Father Richard Getchel officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 until the time of the service. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family.
