On July 07, 2025, Helen P. Johnson (nee Smith) age 86, passed away in Oneida, Wisconsin of natural causes after a long and active life.

Helen was a long-time Oneida resident retiring as a loan officer at the Oneida Department of Land Management. She was born and raised in Wisconsin, later moving to Chicago for several years where she married and raised two sons while remaining a loyal Green Bay Packers fan.

Helen was the youngest child of the late Chester A. Smith and Mamie Williams Smith of Oneida. She was a kind and generous person, who loved nature and all animals, especially cats. Helen is a member of the Church of the Holy Apostles in Oneida.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Johnson, both of her adult children Steven and Gregory House, and her four siblings: Dorothy Wainwright, Gladys Disney, Leonard Smith, and Chester G. Smith. Helen leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She requested no wake or memorial service, and will be buried on Monday, August 04, 2025, at 10:30am, at the Holy Apostles cemetery in Oneida. In memory of Helen, please make a donation to a Green Bay area animal rescue.
