Phyl A. Skenandore, 87, De Pere, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday November 20, 2014. She was born in Green Bay on December 16, 1926 to the late Edwin and Ruth (Hill) Reed. On June 7, 1947 she married Norris "Skinny" Skenandore. Phyl loved to dance, sing the blues, travel, collect Betty Boop memorabilia, had an infinity for the color orange, loved to go to the shows for popcorn, and was an avid Packer fan and Brewer fa.. Her family always came first, and the four generations that follow her were very important to her.
Phyl is survived by her three sons; Ron Sr. Skenandore, Kerry (Judy) Skenandore, and Danny (Joan) Skenandore. She is further survived by her grandchildren; Mitch, Kelli Rae, Jody, Jamie, Lisa, and Shane. Sixteen great grandchildren; Dylan, Kendall, Ronald, Kristia, Clayton, Rylee, Mia, Marcus, Mariah, Miles, Chance, Brendan, Milana, Shenandoah, Lela, Madi, and her great great grandchild, Kaiden. Phyl's niece Ellen Williams also survives, as well special friend Blanche Powless.
She was preceded in death by her husband Norris "Skinny" Skenandore, her grandson Ron Skenandore Jr., her brother Allen "Jim" Reed, her sister Arlene Williams, and special friend Brenda Skenandore.
Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street in De Pere from 5 7pm Monday November 24, 2014. A prayer service will be led by Pastor Earl L. Smith at 6:30pm to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will resume at 9am on Tuesday at the funeral home, until the procession leaves for church at 10am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am at Holy Apostles Episcopal Church in Oneida with Fr. Lon Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
