Ralph Wayne Cornelius, 70, of Oneida, passed peacefully Thursday morning, May 23,2024. Ralph was born on February 18,1954 in Manitowoc, WI. He was Married to the Late Sharon L. Cornelius on February 14, 1992. Ralph was the son of the late Murphy and Hazel (Powless) Cornelius.
With a heart full of creativity, Ralph, an Iroquois Silversmith, reveled in sharing his craftmanship at various powwows. His love for art, culture, and music resonated deeply with those who experienced it. Ralph's kind heart was evident in all aspects of his life, as he generously gave to charities and lent a helping hand to others whenever possible. His love for his friends, family, and dogs only grew stronger with each passing day, inspiring all who knew him to live a life filled with kindness and compassion.
He was a beacon of encouragement forever cheering for his loved ones, at other sporting events and meaningful gatherings. Ralph found solace in nature's beauty, witnessing sunrises and sunsets with awe and nurturing the wildlife around his home. His dedication to his work was unwavering. He spent his younger years pursuing excitement and making memories that would last a lifetime.
Ralph is survived by his daughter, Marqita (Ben) Hanko, Manitowoc; Stepchildren: Jeremy (Kateri) Wheelock, Oneida. Jaime Wheelock, Oneida; Grand Children: Twilight, Ava, Kayden, and Anthony Jr.; Great Grand Children: Sophia, Emilio, and Angel.
Proceeded in death by many friends and family.
We would like to thank Patricia and Bernie for being there for Ralph throughout the last year. We also want to thank the Holy Apostles Church and Ryan Funeral Homefor helping with the arrangements. Most of all we would like to thank Marqita, Ralph loved you so much and you did a great job caring for him in his final days.
Family and friends may visit at The Church of the Holy Apostles, 2937 Freedom Road, Oneida beginning at 9:00 a.m on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 with burial to follow at the Holy Apostle Cemetery.
