Obituary

Raymond I. Gerlikowski, 92, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 19, 2017. He was born July 2, 1925 to the late Joseph and Josephine (Kaminski) Gerlikowski. Ray was the youngest of a large family, and grew up on a farm in the Town of Eaton and attended Saints Cyril and Methodius Church and School. On May 21, 1947 he married Fern Lewis. Ray farmed as well as worked many of the carpentry trades, and had a hand in building the original Lambeau Field. He also enjoyed remodeling homes, especially those of his children. Ray loved to garden, and after moving to the city in the early 60's he continued with a large garden and shared its harvest with many. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Ray was the kind of person, whom when you met him you walked away with a smile and a new friend. He was a devoted husband, and father, and loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ray is survived by his children; Rick (Vicki) Gerlikowski, Dan (Cathy) Gerlikowski, Darlene (George Bruce) House, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and sisters in law Lea Stascak, and Bev Lewis. He was preceded in death by his wife Fern, son, Jack Gerlikowski, as well as all his siblings from his large family. Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street, De Pere after 4:00PM Friday, until the parish prayer service at 7:30PM to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 936 Ninth Street, Green Bay after 9:30AM, until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM with Fr. Don Everts officiating.
