Raymond Boushka, 74, of Ashwaubenon, went to be with the Lord , while surrounded by his loving wife and family on Wednesday August 31, 2016. The son of the late Wencel and Marian (Dufeck) Boushka was born December 16, 1941 in Green Bay. He attended Denmark High School. On October 29, 1960, he married the former Karen Stammer at St. Joseph Parish, De Pere.
Ray had worked as a mechanic for Green Bay Chicago Lines for thirty years prior to retirement in July of 1995. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing, and being a Cub Scout leader. Ray was blessed with a great sense of humor and enjoyed playfully teasing his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Karen, their children, Dawn and John Hansen, Cherie Boushka, and Dan Boushka, four grandchildren, Chris (Lynn) Hansen, Nichole Hansen, Tyler Boushka, and Joey Boushka, 3 great-grandchldren,(with another on the way), one sister Rosemary and Dave Enz, and a sister-in-law Arlene (Dick) Smits.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wencel and Marian, one sister-in-law, Peg (Lloyd) Knapp, one nephew, Curt Knapp, as well as his parents-in-law Robert and Frances Stammer.
Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 5:00 to 7:30 pm on Wednesday September 7, 2016. A parish prayer service will be held to close the evening at 7:30. Visitation will continue after 10:00 am on Thursday at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 South Oneida Street, Green Bay. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am Thursday with Father John H. Harper, officiating. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, De Pere.
