Raymond Gerke, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2012 in West De Pere, the city where he was born, raised, worked and lived. Raymond was born August 12, 1932 to Sheldon and Clara Gerke. He was a graduate of Nicolet High School and worked at Milprint his entire life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Raymond was grateful to have his nephews Russ (Alisa) Gerke and Terry Gerke there to care for him these last years. Raymond is survived by his brothers: Bob (Carol) Gerke and Andy Gerke; sister-in-law Nancy Gerke; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, sister Grace; brothers Carl (Rosemary) Gerke, Henry (Dorothy) Gerke, and Sheldon Gerke; nephew Tony Gerke; and niece Pat Gerke. Friends and family may visit from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere. A service will be conducted at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
