IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Raymond "Ray"
Hendricks
March 2, 1937 – November 10, 2023
Raymond Hendricks, 86, Green Bay, passed away November 10, 2023, at home with his loved ones by his side. He was born at home in De Pere on March 2, 1937, to Fred and Rosella (Van Gheem) Hendricks. He attended Beauty Grove School, which was just over the fence.
He grew up on the family farm, and at age 16 started driving for a local can milk hauler. Later he bought the route for himself. Ray worked at Armour and Nicolet Paper, and enjoyed the monthly breakfast get together with the boys from Armour until he could no longer make it, due to declining health.
Ray married Carol Kleinschmidt on June 30, 1956, at the National Shrine of St. Joseph, De Pere. They shared 67 years together.
He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing with the boys, (especially the trip to Canada), and watching them race motocross. Ray attended the "Ice Bowl" with his father-in-law.
Ray is survived by his wife Carol, son Michael (Judy) Hendricks, Michelle (Jim) DeGrave, and Jeff (Sheryl) Hendricks. Grandchildren; Leah (Josh) Vertz, Krista (Dave) Van Schyndel, Nicole DeGrave, Dalton (Emily) Hendricks, Dr. Ciara (Alex Yoap), and Dawson Hendricks. Great Grandchildren; Nolan, Cora, and Ada Vertz, Jacob, and Gavin Van Schyndel, Stetson Yoap, and new Baby Yoap in February. Sisters-in-law, Phyllis Hendricks, and Carol's sister Barb Walinski, as well as nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Adam DeGrave, his parents, in-laws, Ervin and Marion Kleinschmidt, as well as his siblings; Ron (Audrey), Norbert (Joan), Fred "Sam", Ken, Leona (Bill) Sausen, Norma (Art) Van Domelen, and Carol's sister Sandra (Wayne) Belchner.
Friends may call at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, from 9:00AM Wednesday, November 15, 2023. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM with Fr. Don Everts officiating.
