January 11, 1941 – March 5, 2023
Raymond Jaeger, 81, Hobart, passed away on March 5, 2023. He was born to the late Albert and Clara Jaeger in Denmark, WI. Ray graduated from West De Pere High School.
He started his career in construction right after high school by working for Valley Unit Step, and later founded his own business, Ray Jaeger Construction Inc.
Ray was extremely hard working, a generous man with a heart of gold. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oneida, and Knights of Columbus. On numerous occasions he would play Santa Claus at Christmas time, and purchase furniture and appliances for random people. He also donated to various charities and clubs whenever a benefit was held.
Ray took great pride in his business, and especially when he was able to purchase his first truck when he started.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Virginia "Bear"; children: Richard (Patricia) Jaeger, Ronald (Lori) Jaeger, Randall (Michelle) Jaeger, RaeLynn (Michael) Kwasny; Grandchildren: Kaylee, Jacob, Benjamin, Vincent, Alexander, Nicolas, and Jackson. He is further survived by his brothers and sisters: Larry (Pat) Jaeger, Helen (Ray) Kocha, Bill (Linda) Jaeger, Gail Jaeger, and sister-in-law Judith (Gary) Guth, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Clara Jaeger, his sister Shirley Manning, and brother Albert Jaeger Jr.
Friends may call from 3:00pm Sunday, March 12, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church 145 St. Joseph Dr., Oneida, with a prayer service at 6:00pm to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue Monday at church from 9:00am until 10:15am. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30am. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family.
