Richard John Janquart, affectionately known to many as "Rick," of Denmark, WI, passed away at age 72 on June 14, 2024, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center of Green Bay, WI surrounded by his loving family.
Richard was born May 13, 1952, in Green Bay, son of the late Norman and Laverne Janquart, and spent his youth growing up in Allouez.
Rick attended St. Matthew's Catholic school and went to Green Bay East High School. Rick was employed as a Millwright at Fort Howard (later Georgia Pacific) as a welder and retired after 42 years. Rick was fond of fishing and hanging with friends at a local community establishment, especially hanging with his good friend Cheech. Rick was a selfless, compassionate, loving, advice-giving father and friend. Rick was an avid fisherman and for the past 49 years would embark on an annual musky fishing trip with his brothers and honorary brothers. He was a golfer, loved playing cards, and being part of dart and pool leagues. He made many good friends along the way. Rick enjoyed spending his summer days meticulously caring for his 1.5-acre lawn and home that he bought for his beloved wife, Kellie. You could often find him enjoying a whiskey and catching up with his friends at Farmstead. He also enjoyed watching old TV series. He was proud of his children and grandchildren. He always bragged about all their endeavors and was proud to mention those successes.
Rick married the love of his life Kellie Van Rens on March 4, 1994, and spent 18 years together. They loved to spend time camping at Bagley Rapids and an assortment of other adventurous places. The time spent together was cherished by all that knew their love. They were quite a pair, and many loved to be with them.
He is survived by his children; Jeremy Janquart, Adam Janquart, Wendie (Nikolas) Igler, Matthew Van Rens, Corey (Samantha) Janquart; grandchildren, Kaleb Stache, Lauren (Richard) Andrade, Jaden Janquart, Jordan Stache, Kendal Janquart, Madison Van Rens, Mariah Janquart, Olivia Janquart, Kamden Janquart, Clayton Janquart, Jacie Igler, Jameson Igler; great grandchildren, Aubree Andrade, Eden Andrade; siblings, David (Candy) Janquart, Julie (Julie Van Lannen), Bob (Kathi) Janquart, Tom (Alice) Janquart, Joe (Michelle Crooks) Janquart; sisters-in-law, Darlene Janquart, Gale Janquart and Joyce Janquart; and brother-in-law and great friend Will Hogan.
