Richard J. "Dick" Murphy, 77, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 31, 2016. The son of the late Edward and Blanche (Wright) Murphy was born March 7, 1938 in Green Bay. He married Linda La Plante on July 8, 1961 at St. Mary Church, De Pere. Dick served his country in the U. S. Navy.
Mr. Murphy had worked at Ft. Howard Paper Company for 40 years until his retirement as an electrician and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He loved playing pool, cards and crabbing on Lake Metonga. Dick enjoyed his vegetable garden.
Survivors include his wife, Linda, three children, Michael Hoch, Maureen Delebreau, Marnie (Rick) Wasmuth, six grandchildren, Jacob (Candace) Hoch, Jenalee (Dylan) Chevalier, Riley Delebreau, Haley (Zach) Letter, Noah and Henry Wasmuth, and two great-grandchildren, Sophia and Harrison Hoch, as well as his two sisters, Pat Van Grunsven and Mary (Vern) Sorenson, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Jim and Tom Murphy and one son-in-law, Brian Delebreau.
