Obituary

Richard D. Skenadore, 81, affectionately known as "Unk", passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side on Saturday, October 14, 2023. He was born in Green Bay on July 20, 1942, to Arthur Skenandore and Cynthia Jourdan.

He was a Packer, Brewers, and Badgers fan and loved getting his "numbers" at his local establishments while hanging out with family, friends, and buddies. In his younger days, he was an avid bowler, golfer, and fisherman.

Richard worked in construction for 20 years as a mason. He had a second career as maintenance at Anna John Nursing home until his retirement.

He is survived by Patsy Elm, his sweetheart and best friend, his children, Laurie (Lyle) Metoxen, Chantell (Kevin) VandenBloomer, his brother Gordy (Jude) Skenadore. He is further survived by his grandchildren, Gabrielle (Wade), Richie (Mars), Adrianna, and sister-in-law Carol Skenadore. He is also survived by Miranda and Eli, and one great-grandchild, his godson, Barry Metoxen, and "favorite" numerous nephews and nieces.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his son Douglas Skenadore, his siblings, Bernice (David) Moore, Marlene (Myron) Skenandore, and Vince Skenadore.

Friends and family may come to call on Thursday, October 19, 2023, from 10:00AM – 12:00PM at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N Tenth Street De Pere. The Onieda Hymn Singers will begin their song service at 11:30 AM, and memorial service will begin at 12:00PM.
