Richard (Dutch) Van Den Berg, 74, of Casa Grande, AZ passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. Richard was born on April 11, 1947 in Green Bay, WI to Norbert John Van Den Berg and Jeanette Ambrosious.
Richard was quick-witted, sarcastic, devoted, kind, and at times ornery. He loved his family, not only as a husband, and father but also as a friend, scout, father Xmas, and Marine. Richard graduated from Pulaski High School and started his career in the USMC, went to UWO, and FVTC . He lived by Sempre Fi, OOOOOO-RAH! He additionally worked for the State of Wisconsin, GBCI.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, son; Robert Van Den Berg, sister; Beatrice Williams, brothers; Donald, Raymond and Edward Van Den Berg.
Survived by his wife, Sherryl Van Den Berg, children; Curt (Angela) Van Den Berg, Kristal (Amy) Hanson, Mary Adams, sister; Jane Linsmeyer, 9 grandchildren, 5 ½ great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, in laws, friends, and Tinkerbell (kitty kitty).
A memorial service will be held on August 14th, 2021 at Ryan Funeral home, De Pere, between 2-4 PM.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the hospice workers who cared for Richard.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the DAV Chapter 3 Green Bay, WI.
