Rita M. Doherty, 86, De Pere, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning March 24, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born March 3, 1932 to the late Kazmir and Sophia Molik. On September 25, 1954 she married her sweetheart, Leland Doherty at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, Green Bay. Rita was a wonderful homemaker and loved to bake, she also enjoyed gardening, and the square-dance club she and Lee belonged to. It was the roll of babysitter to her grandchildren when they were little that she cherished the most. Rita was a long time member of Our Lady of Lourdes (St. Boniface) Catholic Church. She is survived by her sons and their wives; Dennis (Cathy), Tim (Lori), Verne (Barb), Kevin (Marlene), and Wayne (Judy). She is further survived by her 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is further survived by her twin sister Lorraine (Ken) Schenian, her brother Pete (Mimi) Molik, sister in law Pat Molik, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Leland, her daughter Pauline, grandson Adam and brothers and sisters. Friends may call at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, De Pere from 4:00PM – 7:00PM Tuesday March 27, 2018. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday after 9:30AM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00AM with Fr. Benny Jacob O.Praem. and Deacon Mike Vander Bloomen officiating.
