Obituary

Rita Lorraine Srenaski (Mrs. Harry), 91, died peacefully on May 1, 2011 at Woodside Nursing Home. The daughter of the late Clement and Helene (Pope) Vincent, was born November 27, 1919 in Channing , Michigan. Rita graduated from Green Bay West High School in 1939, where she excelled in sports and was a squad leader. Rita married Harry Srenaski on September 30, 1940 at St. Raphaels Cathedral in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1993. Rita was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in De Pere, the Concerned Hearts Club, Senior Citizens Bowling League and the Order of Foresters. She was employed by Sears, Royal Model Cleaners, the De Pere White Store and the De Pere Shopko Pharmacy. Together Rita and Harry managed apartment complexes at 400 Monroe Plaza and Georgetown Manor. She also enjoyed volunteering at the De Pere Senior Center. Rita was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was a gentle lady who always had a smile on her face and truly loved all of her family and caregivers. She is survived by four children and their spouses, Arita "Peach" (Thomas) Robinson, De Pere, James Srenaski, Houston, Texas, Patrick (Lisa) Srenaski, Green Bay, Gail (Bill) Addie, De Pere. She is further survived by ten grandchildren; Todd (Catherine) Robinson, Perry (Laura) Robinson, Jon (Nicole) Robinson, James Srenaski Jr., Lynsey and Chelsey Addie, Elizabeth & Willis Ecton. Wyndham Srenaski and Ainsely Srenaski, Rita was called GG by great Grandchildren, Matthew, Eric, Kevin and Nicklaus Robinson. Rita is also survived by one sister, Iris Dudkiewicz, brother and sisters in law, Leonard Srenaski. Walter (Cyrena) Srenaski, Carmel Srenaski, and many nieces and nephews. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Harry, sister Ruth Dube, two brothers, Bernard and Lyle Vincent, as well as her special friend Victor Winters. Family and friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, off Sportsmans Rd. for a Memorial Mass at 11am Saturday, May 7, 2011 with Fr. John H. Harper officiating.
