Obituary

Robert (Bob) Francis Baeten, 56 of Palm Springs, CA died unexpectedly on October 25, 2018. Bob was born on July 13, 1962 to the late Edward Dale Baeten and Margaret (Leisgang) Baeten and raised on the family farm in De Pere, WI. Bob graduated from West De Pere High School in 1980. He moved to Milwaukee in 1985 and worked at various restaurants. A lover of the ocean, Bob left Wisconsin in 1994 to start a 24 year journey living in California - San Diego, San Francisco and finally Palm Springs where he became a skillful Real Estate agent who helped many people start new chapters of their lives. Bob was an avid health-focused man. Long hikes in the desert were among his passions. Wherever Bob went, he made numerous deep and sustaining friendships with his big open heart and generous spirit. Bob is survived by his beloved mother Margaret and five siblings, all living in Wisconsin; Tom Baeten, De Pere (special friend Donna Wiskow), Jeff (Bonnie) Baeten, Twsp of Oneida, Lou Ann Junio, De Pere, Debra Charles, Twsp of Maple Grove (special friend Barry McVane) and Mary Beth (John) Thornton, Green Bay. Bob had 13 nieces and nephews and 24 great-nieces and great-nephews. He is also survived by his two precious dogs, Jake and Molly. Bob especially treasured his mother Margaret, whom he loved and adored. His family continues to grieve this shocking loss. A private memorial service was held on November 10, 2018 with Deacon Mike Vander Bloomen officiating. Bob was preceded in death by his father, sister Christine Mary and great-nephew Bentley Edward. He is now buried with his father and sister at Mount Calvary Cemetery in De Pere, WI. "Yea though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil for Thou art with me." "It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; and in dying that we are born to eternal life."
