Robert Michael Van Straten Jr, 71, passed away peacefully at home with family by his side on Monday November 10th, 2025. He was born in Rushville, Indiana on December 21st, 1953, to Robert Van Straten Sr. and Norma Van Sychle.

Robert ( Bobby) graduated from Donniven High school. After graduating he went on to work for Aspiro. Bobby retired from Aspiro in 2017, after 30 years of employment. Bobby enjoyed his time with Aspiro; he met lots of loving staff and coworkers.

Bobby enjoyed working on bicycles, riding his bike, fishing, and social times with family and friends at bonfires. Bobby really loved roller skating, going bowling, and enjoying cold ice beers at his two favorite bars Brewskies, in Green Bay and 2 Broke Girls, in Neenah. Anybody that knew Bobby knows that he was a fun-loving kind of man.

Bobby is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Jerry Van Straten, nieces Jessica Van Straten and Jessica Tassoul, nephews Anthony (Tony) Edwards and Ronald Van Straten Jr. He is survived by his longtime caregiver and niece Tracy Van Straten, brothers Mark (Fiance Donna), David, and Ronald Van Straten, sister Theresa Smith along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends may call at Ryan's Funeral Home De Pere, WI 54115 from 10am to 12pm on Monday December 1st. A memorial service for Bobby will begin at 12pm with Major Bob and Major Ruth Fay presiding.
