Obituary

Robert "Bob" John Carlson, 88, passed away peacefully at The Oaks Assisted Living in Washburn, WI, on June 7, 2026. He was born in Menominee, MI on September 20, 1937, to Elmer and Emma (LaPlant) Carlson. Robert was a graduate of Peshtigo High School and received his undergraduate and master's degrees in education from UW-Stout. Bob especially enjoyed spending time in his vegetable gardens and woodworking. His favorite project was his wooden boat, which he built up from a discarded hull. He loved taking the completed 20 ft. cabin cruiser out on Green Bay and the Fox River with friends and family. As an educator, Bob spent the majority of his teaching career in the Tech Ed department at Bay Port High School and teaching Driver's Ed on the side.

Robert is survived by his children, Mark Carlson and Susan (Adam) Zeuske; grandchildren, Clara Stauber, Sebastian Stauber, Lilah (Erik) Hukriede, and Jair Zeuske; sister, Sherry (Larry) Polzin; sister-in-law Donna Nelezen as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Polly; his parents, siblings Donald Carlson, David (Barbara) Carlson, and Richard (Eva) Carlson.
