Robert "Bob" Gildernick, 84 of the Town of Lawrence died unexpectedly on Monday evening April 8, 2013. He was born in Lawrence on August 1, 1928 to the late William and Burnace (Clough) Gildernick Sr. On June 9, 1949 he married Virginia Smith at St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna. Bob farmed in the Town of Lawrence for over 50 years, and drove bus for Lamers for over 29 years. After retiring Bob drove for Fox Valley Auto Auction, until recently when he stopped because of health reasons. One of Bob's greatest pleasures in life was Draft Horses, and he enjoyed Horse Pulls with his fellow horsemen.
Bob is survived by his wife of almost 65 years Virginia, his daughters; Allie (Don) Gardner, Connie (Mike) Baeten, Lisa Gildernick, his sons; Mike (Denise) Gildernick, and Timm (Jessica) Gildernick, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and one on the way. Bob is further survived by his brother Bill (Carol) Gildernick, his cousins and best friends Bert and Lou Bain. Proceeding him in death were his parents Bill and Burnace, his in-laws; Anna and Arnold Smith, as well as his sisters; Lial (Cliff) Englebert, Beverly (Erving) Garrity, sister in law Charolette Gildernick.
