Robert "Bob" Hendricks, 72, of De Pere, passed away at home on June 22, 2015, surrounded by his family. Bob was born August 15, 1942 in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to his late parents Mavis and William Hendricks. He married his best friend and lifelong companion Margaret in 1972 and they built a happy home together in Monona, Wisconsin with their two sons, Jonathan and Christopher. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his aunt Lucile, and niece Jennifer. He is survived by his wife, sons, daughters-in-law Liz and Ashley, granddaughters Margaret and Mary, sisters Mary Ellen and Marcia, brother William and his wife Susan, stepmother Carol, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was connected to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for most of his adult life. He studied geography as a student and was a member of the UW marching band, playing the trombone in the 1963 Rose Bowl Parade. After graduating, he went on to work at the University for 34 years before his retirement in 2002. He began his career in the Department of Planning and Construction and ultimately served the University as the Assistant Director for Planning. In this role he helped to shape the modern layout of the beautiful UW campus. His lifelong passions included Badger sports, gardening, music, fishing, foreign travel, train watching, andmost of alltime with his family and friends at his summer cottage in Sister Bay. He will be fondly remembered as a quiet, kind, and honest man and a caring, steadfast, and dear grandfather, father, and husband. Burial on Saturday, June 27 at 10am in Little Sister Cemetery, 10537 Pebble Beach Rd., Sister Bay.
