Obituary

Robert King, "The Great Bob King", 88 of Oneida, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday January 22, 2013. The son of Antone and Rose (Schuyler) King was born March 24, 1924 in Oneida. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was married to Grace (Danforth) King and she passed away in 1953. He spent most of his life in construction and was an Iron Worker in Kansas and Arkansas. In Milwaukee, he spent twelve years as a licensed power engineer, and six years at the Radisson Hotels in maintenance. He fully retired at the age 79. Survivors include his daughter, Joyce Williams, one grandson, Bradley Williams, his son, Warren King, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Grace, one son, Wayne King as well as his 6 brothers and 4 sisters. Family and friends may call at Oneida United Methodist Church, N3067 County Road E, Oneida from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday January 25, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday at the church with Rev. Candace Ascher, officiating. Burial to follow in the Oneida Nation Tribal Cemetery. Oneida Veterans Burial Service will be held at the cemetery.
