Robert D. Post, 63, of De Pere, passed away after a brief illness at Froedtert Hospital, in Milwaukee, WI. The son of the late Bob and Elaine (Wendt) Post was born on May 17 of 1951 in Rockville Center, NY. Robert attended Hofstra and New York University. In 1974, he was united in marriage with the former Cynthia "Cindy" Fleskes in Iowa. Together, they celebrated 40 beautiful years of marriage. Bob was a dedicated financial advisor for Robert W. Baird & Co. for 34 years before his retirement. Beyond his work, Robert had many interests and activities that he was a part of. These included: sailing, scuba diving, cross country skiing, astronomy, golf, hiking, playing his guitar, and flying planes, both for travel and for aerobatic display. When he wasn't involved with one of his many hobbies, Bob took part in various organizations. He was a part of the Green Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, the Neville Public Museum Astronomical Society, and Air Lifeline as a volunteer pilot. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Robert is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; his daughter, Jennifer Post (husband Riley Woodward-Pratt), and his brother Steve (Liz) Post. He was preceded in death by his parents, and aunts, Marilyn Edwards and Roey Wendt. Friends and family are encouraged to gather at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, on Monday, August 4, 2014 beginning at 4:00pm. A prayer service will be held at 7:00pm on Monday evening. Visitation will continue after 9:00am on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at St. Clare Parish, Greenleaf Site, 2212 Day Street, Greenleaf, WI.
