Obituary

Robert "Bob" H. Roffers, 86, Seymour, formerly of West De Pere, joined his wife Angela in heaven on Tuesday, February 3, 2009. He was born May 23, 1922 in Ashwaubenon, a son of the late John and Mary (Vanden Hogan) Roffers. On August 21, 1954 Bob married Angela Dollar at St. Francis Church in De Pere. Bob started farming in 1960. He was a past member of Brown County NFO, and Past Commander of VFW Post 2113. Bob was an active member of St. Boniface Holy Name Society. In 1999 Bob sold his farm and moved to Seymour to be close to his grandsons. Bob enjoyed fixing cars, trucks, and tractors in his shed throughout the years. Bob is survived by his eight children: Carol (Jeff) Webster, Sharon (Mike) Secora, Betsy (Steve) Braun, Allan (Mitzie) Roffers, Denise (Lorn) Van Den Elzen, Bonnie (Craig) Rickaway, Leann (Carlos) Rodriguez, and Curtis (Andrea) Roffers; eleven grandchildren: Jamie (Jamie) Conrad, Corry (Nikki Ambrosius) Roffers, Justin Roffers, Paul Braun, Casey Braun, Kelcie Van Den Elzen, Kailie Van Den Elzen, Megan Roffers, Connor Roffers, Gabriela Rodriguez, and Baby Roffers due in April; and three great grandchildren Gavin and Nevaeh Braun, and Ashlyn Conrad. Bob is further survived by four sisters-in-law Pearl Roffers, Dorothy Roffers, Irene Roffers, and Jenny Roffers; numerous nieces and nephews; and Angela's six sisters. Bob was greeted in heaven by his wife Angela, parents, and siblings: Henrietta, Herbert, Lester, Jenny, Irvin, Marvin, Norbert, Elsie, Raymond, Rosella, Evelyn, and Arthur. Visitation for Bob will be Saturday, February 7, 2009 from 9:00 AM until time of Mass, at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes and Suburban, De Pere. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 11:00 AM at church with Fr. Tim Shillcox, O. Praem officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Mausoleum.
