Obituary

Robert M. Runge, 68, De Pere, formerly Ashwaubenon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Unity Hospice Residence in De Pere. He was born July 30, 1942, in Shawano, Wisconsin, to the late Harry and Marcella (Milis) Runge. On October 19, 1963 he married Joyce Raymakers, at Assumption B.V.M Church in Pulaski. Bob was employed at Fort Howard Paper Company. In December of 1997, he retired after 35 years. Bob spent his free time enjoying his cherished '61 Chevy Impala, traveling with his wife, golfing with friends, playing cards and taking great pleasure in spending time with his grandchildren. Bob volunteered over 30 years for the Thanksgiving Outreach Dinner. He volunteered for St. Vincent De Paul through Nativity Church where he was also an usher and a member of Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Joyce, one son, Jim (Nicole), California, two daughters, Pam (Jeff) Malin, De Pere, Lori Runge, Milwaukee, Four beloved grandsons, Zachrich Just, Loken Malin, Evan Malin and Roklan Dionne. He is also survived by one brother, Ken (Marna) Runge, Cecil, one sister, Dorothy (Lavern) Styczynski, Pulaski and one brother-in-law Joe (Rosie) Rueckert, Bonduel. Four brother-in-laws: Don (Del) Raymakers, Bob (Rita) Raymakers, Gary (Ellen) Raymakers, Bill (Sharon) Raymakers, Bruce (Marie) Raymakers. Two sister-in-laws: Carol (Don) Staszak, Judy (Joe) McNeill. Special long-time friend, Pat Ekleberry and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcella and Harry Runge, son, John, sister, Donna Rueckert and in-laws, John and Lorraine Raymakers. Family and friends may call at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, 2270 S. Oneida St., on Monday July 25, 2011, from 2 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. The funeral service will follow visitation at 6:30 p.m. with Father Willard Vandeloo and Father Jack Harper officiating. Burial will be at Fort Howard Cemetery. Ryan Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
