Robert L. Smith, De Pere, 77, son of the late Mathilda and James Smith peacefully died after a short illness Saturday, October 4, 2008. He married Rose Vander Bloomen in 1964. He retired as custodian at Grace Lutheran Church, Green Bay. He is survived by his wife, son Robert J. (Nancy) and grandchildren Shannon and Valerie; daughter Victoria L.; two sisters Dorothy Zelten and Mary Rowe; brother-in-law Carl Rowe; sister-in-law Mary Smith and in-laws Omer and Judy Vander Bloomen, Caroline Smet and Sr. Jeanne Vander Bloomen He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Howard, William, John, James, and Thomas; and sisters Helen Jacobson, Lilian Wesfal, Doris Schaetz, and Faye Rowe.
