Robert "Bob" G. Smits, 37, died unexpectedly Friday, July 3, 3009. Bob was born in Green Bay, WI a son of Gary and Judy (House) Smits. He was a graduate of West De Pere High School and worked for a local concrete company. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, making others laugh, and he was a jack-of-all-trades. He was a high school wrestler and held a few records. Bob's greatest pleasure was his daughter Brooke and her soccer games or anything in which she was involved. Bob is survived by his parents: Gary (Judy) Smits; daughter Brooke Smits; brother Joseph (Diane) Smits; fiance Kim Johnston; stepchildren: Miranda and Brittany Kulow. He is further survived by his grandparents Lloyd (Jean) Smits; aunts and uncles: Judy (Mike) Rottier, Max (Colleen) Smits, Gloria (Mike) Vander Logt, Glen (Julie) Smits, Pete (Penny) Smits, George (Dar) House, Nancy (Tom) Rasmussen, Jerry (Sherry) House; Kim's family, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and all friends. Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents George (Ethel) House; and uncles Paul Smits and Richard House. Visitation for Bob will be Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N. Tenth St, De Pere, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Oneida Singers at 6:30 PM and Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Celebration of Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday at Holy Apostles Church, Freedom Road, Oneida with Mother Kristina Henning, Deacon Edmund Powless, and Deacon Deborah Heckel, officiating.
