Robert A. "Sonney" Staeven, 96 of the Twsp. of Oneida passed away peacefully on Monday March 28, 2011. He was born October 30, 1914 to the late Herman and Bertha (Schmechel) Staeven. Bob farmed his entire life on the home farm. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and feeding the birds. Bob was a life long member of St. John Lutheran Church in De Pere. He is survived by his sister law; Ruth Staeven, his nephews; Ralph (Nola) Staeven, Wayne (Enola) Staeven, Roger Staeven, Tom (Ann)Staeven. and close friends of the family. Carla (Paul) Krueger, Mary (Clarence) Kornowske, and Ruth Aerts and her friend Jim. He was preceded in death by his siblings; Melvin, Walter, Raymond, and Gertrude. Friends may call at St. John Lutheran Church 1700 Lost Dauphin Road De Pere after 9am Friday, April 1, 2011, until time of service at 11am with Pastor Brian Cain and Pastor Andrea Cain officiating.
