Roland J. Brunette, 86, King, WI. died on September 2, 2008. He was born October 28, 1921 to the late George H. and Josephine (Pine) Brunette. Roland was a veteran of the Pacific Theater during WWII. He was united in marriage to Lorraine Hill. He enjoyed playing softball for tavern leagues, he liked to play the guitar, and yodel. He was a good bowler and had even appeared on WBAY-TV bowling show. Roland was a Golden Glove Boxer, and had tried out for the Detroit Tigers. He had worked as a Tree Topper in Michigan, a Stevedore at Leights Transport, and a Roofer. He is survived by his children; Darlene Hill, Keith (Bonnie) Brunette, Kent (Bonnie) Brunette, Kerry Brunette, Christine Brunette, Georgi Mielke and her special friend Rick Prevost, Byrnn`e Brunette and her special friend Vicki Jourdan, Kelvin (Debbie) Brunette, Kathleen Brunette, and Kevin Brunette. He is further survived by 27 grand children, 29 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, as well as two sisters; Marie "Minnie" Lallaman, June Whetung, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and two sisters; Cecelia and Angie. Friends may call at Holy Apostles Episcopal Church, Oneida from 5-8pm Friday. The Oneida Hymn Singers will sing at 7pm, followed by a prayer service at 7:30pm to bring the evening to a close. Visitation will continue after 9am Saturday at the church until the Mass of Christian Burial at 10am with Rev. Kristina Henning, Deacon Edmund Powless, and Rev. Earl L. Smith officiating.
