Romeo Jesus
Martinez
October 7, 2005 – March 31, 2026
Romeo Jesus Martinez, 20, unexpectedly passed away in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on March 31, 2026.
He was born on October 7, 2005, in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to Robyn Ridgley and Jesus Martinez.
Romeo graduated from Luxemburg-Casco High School in 2024, where he was known for his sense of humor and contagious laugh that could light up any room. Outside of school, he was loved for those same qualities—his rosy cheeks, his dimples, and a laugh that made everyone around him feel welcome.
He lived life in the fast lane, with a heart that never slowed down. Romeo had a lifelong love for cars—whether he was under the hood fixing an engine or admiring a polished finish, it was where he felt most at home. A proud fan of Lightning McQueen, he carried that same spirit: determined, loyal, and always ready to race toward the people he loved. Beyond the garage, his greatest joy was time spent with family and friends. Whether it was a backyard gathering, sharing stories, or lending a helping hand, he made everyone feel like part of his pit crew.
He was raised with love and guidance not only by his parents but also by Lorena Gonzalez and Acapulco Balmaceda, whom he considered Mom and Dad, and by his aunt, Kimberly Gonzalez, all of whom played a deeply important role in his life. He shared a special bond with German Balmaceda, who was like a brother to him.
He is survived by his mother, Robyn Aguilar Hernandez, and her husband, Jorge Aguilar Hernandez; his father, Jesus Martinez; his siblings, Julio Ridgley (Madisen) and their child, Remington, Alexus Aguilar Hernandez, Sarai Aguilar Hernandez, Armoni Aguilar Hernandez, and Amaya Martinez.
He is also survived by his girlfriend, Yulianna Navarro.
On his mother’s side, he is survived by his aunt, Sara Kopach (Chris); his uncle, Adam VanRoy (Nikki); his grandmother, Beverly VanRoy; and many loving cousins.
On his father’s side, he is survived by his aunts, Kimberly Gonzalez (Francisco), Celicia Delgadillo, and Christina Martinez (Blaize Koon); his uncle, Brian Martinez; his grandmother, Dora Gonzalez; his grandfather, Jesus Martinez; and many loving cousins, including his cousin Thiago Gonzalez, whom he affectionately considered his nephew and shared a very special bond with.
