Rona Loch, 88, of De Pere, passed away peacefully on Friday January 13, 2017, surrounded by her family. The daughter of the late William and Gladys (Matthews) Smits was born October 2, 1928 in Green Bay. On March 1, 1954, she married Kenneth Loch at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Allouez. He preceded her in death on June 12, 2000.
Rona was a volunteer at Bellin Hospital, the Brown County Homebuilders and enjoyed winters on Marco Island.
Survivors include her children, Christopher and Susan Loch, Matthew and Susan Loch, Toni Loch, Peter "Bucky" Loch and Patti Travers, Gretchen Loch and Robert Haviland, eight grandchildren, Caleb Frostman, Anne Frostman, Lexi Loch, Cassie Evraets, Andy Loch, Chad Loch, Spencer Loch and Kendra Loch, three great-grandchildren, Michaela, Ashley and Jessie Loch, one brother, William J. (Heidi) Smits.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken, and one son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Linda Loch.
Family and friends may call at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday January 15, 2017. Parish prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm.
Visitation will continue after 9:30 am Tuesday at Old St. Joe's Church on St. Norbert College Campus in De Pere, until time of service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday at the church with Father Benny Jacob, O. Praem., officiating. Entombment to follow.
