Ron Miller, 79, of Little Suamico, passed away on Friday November 4, 2016 at home following a long battle with cancer. The son of the late Clarence and Ona (Guth) Miller was born June 6, 1937 in Baldwins Mills near Weyauwega. He was a graduate of Neenah High School. He married Catherine Farley in 1956 and they had three children, Dawn, Keith and Lance. On June 26, 1994, he married Karen Pfeiler in De Pere.
Mr. Miller was an entrepreneur and involved in heavy manufacturing all of his life. Ron worked at Kimtech, Overley's and TEC Systems in De Pere. Ron owned and operated Four Corp Fabrication in Ashwaubenon for many years prior to retirement. He was a member of the Army National Guard. Ron and Karen were active members of Cornerstone Family Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially big game hunting. He holds records in several national publications including Boone and Crockett, and Pope and Young. He loved gambling which included many trips to Las Vegas to play blackjack and compete in Poker Tournaments After retiring, he was a member of the Nicolet National Bank Board of Directors. He and Karen enjoyed traveling and entertaining ; they have many friends and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Karen, three children, Dawn (Steve) Johnson, Keith Miller, Lance Miller, three step-children, Robert Wilken, Ben Kerscher, and Matt Kerscher, eleven grandchildren, one brother, Glen Miller and one sister, Bonita (Mike) Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Jonah, a sister, Patricia Hildebrand and his infant brother, Kenneth.
Family and friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday November 14, 2016. Visitation will continue after 9:00 am Tuesday at Cornerstone Family Church 2780 School Lane, Suamico until time of service. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday with Pastors Dennis and Sandy Toyne officiating. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorial fund for Manna For Life has been established in Ron's name.
