Fortified by the Sacraments of the Church, Ronald "Ron" Mooren, 73, De Pere passed away on Saturday March 11, 2017. He was born June 2, 1943 to the late Norbert and Florence (Albers) Mooren. Ron was a graduate of Abbot Pennings High School. On October 11, 1969 he married Jean Selissen. Ron retired from Procter and Gamble after 35 years. He was a faithful member of St. Michael Church, De Pere where he belonged to The Holy Name Society. Ron enjoyed playing golf and cards with his friends, and liked to attend his grandchildren's activities. He was a good natured person who always had a wink and smile for everyone. He is survived by his children: Betsy Heinemeyer, Cindy (Mike) Vander Heiden, Pete (Katie) Mooren, and Joe Mooren. Ron is further survived by 8 grandchildren: Savannah, Isaiah, Adrian, Morgan, Emily, Landon, Asher, and Gemma. His sister Kathy (Jim) Kocken, mother in law Laverne Selissen, and Jean's family also survive him. Ron was preceded in death by his wife Jean in 2014, and his brother George. Visitation will continue after 9:30AM Saturday at St. Michael Church 1782 Chapelle Rue, De Pere. A Traditional Latin Requiem Mass will be held at 11:00AM with Fr. J. Rigi SSPX officiating.
