Russell L. Kussow, son of the late Elmer and Elnora (Pagel) Kussow. Born May 25, 1940 and died on Saturday August 4, 2012 at a local hospital. Russ was born and raised and lived his entire life on the family homestead, which will always be the farm to all of us. Russ worked for Bay Drafting most of his work career, thanks to Jerry Fritsch and the considerate people that worked there. Russ lived for going to his cabin in Pembine on weekends, especially Deer Hunting with the group. Starting with the five big boys and ending with a large blended family. He loved playing cards and his PBR.
Russ is survived by four brothers, Virgil (Randean) Kussow, De Pere, Merle (Joyce) Kussow, Freedom, Lowell (Judy) Kussow, Wrightstown, Jerry (Mary) Kussow, De Pere and one sister Judy (Glenn) Maus, Ashwaubenon. Also surviving him are Inge Kussow, and Jackie Kussow, as well as many nieces, nephews, and good friend Paul Calaway. Russ was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Friends may call at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Wrightstown on Tuesday August 7, 2012 from 3 6pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 6pm with Pastor Matthew Vik officiating burial in the parish cemetery. Please go to www.ryanfh.com to send online condolences to the family. The RYAN FUNERAL HOME of De Pere is assisting the family.
Sincere thanks to Sherry, his personal care giver who went above and beyond to care for him. Many thanks to cousins Tom and Paul and all the nephews, especially Willie for all he did for Russ. Thank you to Dr. Leong and the Bellin ICU staff and 4th floor.
Russ's body was broken at an early age, but his spirit always remained high. We Love You Russ.
