Sarah J. "Jean" Grashorn, 87, Green Bay, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born May 26, 1922 in Struthers, OH. Sarah Jean Sauer met her future husband Richard at a USO gathering in Youngstown, OH during World War II. Richard and Jean were married August 24, 1946 in Struthers, OH they then moved to Kalamazoo, MI and later, Grand Rapids, MI where she was the bookkeeper for the R.R. Grashorn Supply Co. for over 30 years. In 1995 they re-located to Green Bay. Jean lived her life around her family and anyone close to her. If someone was involved in an activity, Jean made sure she was involved in any way that she could be. Jean is survived by her husband of 63 years, Richard, Green Bay; her daughter Chris (Dan) Linnane, Green Bay; her cousins Donna Glover, Dayton, OH, and John Rowland, Cleveland, OH and two nephews and a niece. She was preceded in death by her parents; her special aunt Louise Sauer; brother-in-law Eugene (Lorrane) Grashorn; and her nephew Thomas Grashorn. Visitation for Jean will be Saturday, October 17, 2009 at First United Presbyterian Church, 605 N. Webster Ave, De Pere, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
