Scott P. Martens, 73 of De Pere, WI, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, September 22, 2025. He was born on September 15, 1952, to the late Frank and Nathalie (Ama) Martens in Oconto Falls, WI. He graduated from Southwest High School in Green Bay. Scott was a member of the U.S. Army and served in San Fransico as a medic.
Scott married Patti and together they had three children, Megan, Emily, and Jake. Nancy welcomed the family into her life when she married Scott in 2001.
He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed playing softball, volleyball, and cards with his friends and family. Scott enjoyed socializing and was a generous tipper. He loved spending time with his siblings at the cottage, as well as moments of solitude on the porch at home. Later in life, his favorite thing to do was spend time with his grandchildren.
Scott is survived by his wife Nancy Crabb, his children Megan Martens (special friend Nick), Emily (Michael) Francois, and Jake Martens, as well as his grandchildren Oliver, Charlie, Abigail, Lilah, Gemma, and Cooper. He is further survived by Patti Martens, siblings, John (Kathy) Martens, Amie (Jim) Retzloff, Kim (Mike) Collins, Lisa (Gerry) Blohowiak, Jan (John) Battiola, PJ Martens, and Marc (Carolyn) Martens, brothers – in- law Jim (Debbie) Crabb and Rick (Dawn) Crabb, his step-mother Mavis Martens, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Nathalie.
Friends and family may call on Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Ryan Funeral Home, 305 N Tenth Street, De Pere WI. A prayer service will begin immediately following the visitation at 3:00 pm. Military Honors will begin following the prayer service.
Special thanks to the staff Bellin Hospital as well as Unity Hospice for their care of Scott. The family would also like to thank the Crabb Compound for all their love and assistance towards Scott in his final days.
