SHARE is a resource for families whose baby has died through miscarriage, stillbirth, and early infant death. We have monthly support group meetings which are held the second Thursday evening of each month (except December) from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm at St. Vincent Hospital. We have found that sharing experiences in a supportive, understanding environment with other parents who have experienced a similar loss can be a validating and healing experience. No registration is required and there is no fee to attend. Both men and women attend the group and meetings are for adults only. Parents who attend our support group meetings tell us it is very helpful in helping them heal and cope with their loss. On the second Thursday evening in December at 7:00 pm we have a Christmas memorial service in our chapel. Parents may place an ornament of remembrance on our tree and gifts of toys and clothing are collected and distributed to area children in need. We have a newsletter which is mailed to those on our mailing list as are notifications of special events. If you would like to join the SHARE mailing list, please let us know. We do not share our mailing list with other organizations. In spring, summer and fall we hold a memorial service at Allouez Cemetery for families who have had miscarriages under 20 weeks of pregnancy. For some, this is a memorial service only and for others, it is the actual burial of their tiny baby.
